Everything Fo handles for your package
Schedule the redelivery
Fo uses the number on the missed-delivery slip to book a redelivery for a day you're home.
“The mail carrier left a missed-delivery slip for a package. Get it redelivered on Saturday.”
Arrange a post office pickup
If you'd rather collect it, Fo sets it up at your post office and tells you what to bring.
“I'll pick up the package myself. Tell me where it is and what I need to bring.”
Track the package
Fo watches the tracking and tells you when it's out for delivery or if something goes wrong.
“Track this package and text me when it's out for delivery.”
Change the date
Plans changed? Fo moves the redelivery to another day while there's still time to change it.
“I can't be home Saturday anymore. Move the redelivery to Monday.”
Chase a missing package
If tracking stalls, Fo contacts the carrier or seller and follows up until it turns up.
“My package has said in transit for a week. Find out what's going on.”
How to schedule a USPS redelivery
If the carrier couldn't deliver a package, they usually leave a PS Form 3849 notice. You can schedule a free redelivery or pick it up at the post office.
- Find the tracking number or the barcode number on your PS Form 3849 notice.
- Enter it on the USPS redelivery page. If the item is eligible, redelivery shows as an option.
- Pick a redelivery date or choose to pick it up at the post office. You can't choose a time of day.
- For same-day redelivery, submit by 2 AM Central time, Monday to Saturday.
- To pick it up instead, bring the notice and a valid photo ID. Someone else needs your written permission and their own ID.
