How to put your mail on hold
USPS Hold Mail pauses all mail and packages to your address for 3 to 30 days. The post office keeps it until your hold ends. The service is free.
- Request it online at usps.com, which needs a USPS.com account with your identity verified, or fill in PS Form 8076 at your post office.
- Pick a start date up to 30 days ahead, or as soon as the next delivery day.
- Choose how to get your mail back: delivered on the end date, or picked up at your post office.
- Online, the hold must be in by 3 AM Eastern on the start day, Monday to Saturday.
- Away more than 30 days? Use mail forwarding instead. Hold Mail can't hold a single package or item.

What does Fo need from me?

What if my plans change?
